portraitInspiration

My story of jewellery design starts in Venice, April 1999. While I was walking through the twisting streets I found an intriguing shop of treasures, owned by a chic Venetian woman, designing and selling reinvented jewellery. She had adapted elements from original Christian Dior designs into new pieces, and the results were captivating, enchanting and exciting. The inspiration to search out beautiful pendants, necklaces, earrings and charms, vintage and antique, took a very firm hold on me. Edwardian Starburst pendants, Victorian glass drops, charms from the 50’s and 60’s, started to make their way into my studio. From here I began to combine them with chains, precious and semi-precious stones, pearls, and gold and silver to create a fresh new twist, a Modern Vintage piece of jewellery.

Experience

I create each piece myself, designing instinctively, inspired by the past and present. Delicate rosary like chains that I make from semi-precious and precious stones are one of my classic designs. I studied History of Art, was a student at Camberwell School of Art, and worked as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator and an exhibiting Artist, before becoming a jewellery designer. I have learned practical jewellery making techniques from Holts Academy in the heart of Hatton Garden.

Hope

My hope is to create jewellery that is unusual, wearable and desirable.
